Sidewalk Resolution Comes to City Hall

Wednesday, October 21

City Hall, 1021 SW 4th

The Sidewalk Resolution is City Council's notion of how to manage the mess of tables littering and clogging the sidewalks downtown. Being the clueless hacks they are, we can expect that their idea of an improvement will be to entirely de-regulate wjp can stash their trash out on the sidewalk.

For those with Internet access:

Fasting for Faith, American Ramadan

Tuesday, October 20, 7 PM

St. Luke's Episcopal Church

Hello! Vancouver for Peace is co-sponsoring a film night with the Islamic Society of SW WA and St. Luke's Episcopal church. I hope you will come! I have viewed the movie, and it is EXCELLENT. It is one hour long, and worth coming out for. I feel that when more people understand more about other faiths that the world is a better place for all. We are going to show a film called "Fasting for Faith, American Ramadan," I just watched the movie and my heart was gladdened to see how many things about Ramadan reminded me of my own faith. I think this movie is a great way to help folks of all faiths to connect. Anyway, we hope you will use the attached flyer (bulletin-ready, 2 to a page) to invite folks to come!

If you have any questions, please call! Kay Ellison 360-696-4840
