Veterans for Peace, Chapter 72 commemorates Memorial Day


Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 12:00 noon

Memorial Coliseum (Korean War Memorial) (near Rose Quarter MAX station)

This year VfP will be joined by two-tour Marine veteran and war resister, Benji Lewis, and peace mom, Cindy Sheehan. Brief Ceremony at 12 Noon. After taps, short march to Peace Memorial Park (N. Interstate and Oregon), where Benji Lewis and Cindy Sheehan will address the public. There will be music, snacks and good conversation and company.

Book Reading, Signing and Reception

Cindy Sheehan will be reading from her new book, MYTH AMERICA: THE TEN GREATEST MYTHS OF THE ROBBER CLASS AND THE CASE FOR REVOLUTION.
