Sam Keator has taught the Irish dance from Portland to Newberg to West Linn to Salem and is now focusing on a central location of Tualatin. S&A stands for Sam Keator & his wife Áine Doherty whom is from Co Donegal, Ireland .
We promote traditional Irish Entertainment that produces family wholesome events. PCASC Bolivarian Revolution Dance Party
We are having a Bolivarian Revolution Dance Party in celebration of the Venezuela people rising up and defending their democratically elected president from the US backed coup attempt in 2002. Our event will be on April 12 from 6-11pm with Venezuelan arepas, a short film about the what's going on in Venezuela, and some salsa dancing! (I think we're even going to have a Bush pinata and a Chavez puppet!) Hope you can make it!

New Advisory Committe Members sought for City Building Code Commissions
River Community Advisory Committee, Floating Structures Board of Appeal

Regarding: Title 28 Committee Appointments
On November 21, 2007, the City Council passed a revised version of Title 28 which became effective on December 21, 2007.
The revised version of Title 28 creates two new groups that will assist the Bureau of Development Services in the implementation and interpretation of the code. The two groups are as follows:
1. The River Community Advisory Committee. The River Community Advisory Committee is a citizen advisory body, comprised of six members who represent a variety of floating structures interests. Members will be appointed by the Commissioner-in-charge of BDS for three-year terms and will assist BDS with the development of procedures and administrative guidelines for implementing Title 28. In particular, the Committee will provide the Director of BDS with the following guidance:
* Leadership and expertise on issues affecting floating structures;
* Feedback on the impact of potential regulations and administrative rules on floating structures, taking into consideration the full range of City goals and objectives;
* Recommendations for regulatory, code, and administrative rule changes affecting floating structures;
* Monitor the application and enforcement of regulations for their effectiveness in achieving the City's goals;
* Recommend customer service, permitting, process, and compliance improvements; and,
* Serve as an advisory board on processes and procedures under Title 28.
2. Floating Structures Board of Appeal. The Floating Structures Code Board of Appeals will consisting of six members and six alternates who are knowledgeable about construction as regulated by the base building codes and the construction and maintenance of floating structures and moorage facilities. The Board will assist in determining the suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and provide for reasonable interpretation of the provisions of Title 28. In addition, appeals for floating structures shall be heard by and ruled on by the Floating Structures Code Board of Appeal. The Board will be appointed by the Mayor and shall be composed of:
o Three (3) members or their respective alternates from the Building Code Board of Appeal as constituted by Section 24.10.080; and
o Three members or their respective alternates as follows:
1. An architect or engineer member knowledgeable in the design of floating structures
2. A constructor member knowledgeable in the construction, maintenance and repair of floating structures
3. A member at large who is from one of the following interest groups:
o A For Profit Moorage Representative
o A Non-profit Moorage Representative
o A Yacht Club Representative
o A Floating Home Resident
