No Ivy League Summer Crew Update
We are happy to announce that our crew leader positions have been filled for this summer. However, we are still looking for high schoolers between the ages of 14 and 18 to be crew members. New crew members are paid minimum wage, which is currently $7.80 an hour. The following is the job information:
Crew Members must be currently enrolled in a high school, or entering high school in fall 2007, and between the ages of 14 and 18. They will be primarily responsible for removing ivy from Forest Park and other areas in Portland, as well as mapping and logging all of the work they do. They will also be responsible for various other projects through the season. The most valuable asset a crew member could have is enthusiasm for both the environment and the work they are doing. Applicants should also be aware that much of the work will be physical labor, and should keep in mind their personal level of fitness. Both positions will be Monday through Friday for 6 hours plus a half hour lunch, with Saturdays optional. To apply, mail or bring us a resume, cover letter explaining why you want this job and what you would bring to the project, and a letter of recommendation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Be sure to pass this on to any friends and family you think would be interested!
