Hike to Endangered Mt. Hood Forests
Sunday, January 14, 9:15am
Daily Grind (SE Hawthorne & 40th)
Sponsor: Bark (503) 331-0374
Each month Bark visits a different planned logging project on Mt. Hood National Forest. There are dozens of these planned "timber sales" on the publicly owned forests surrounding Mt. Hood! Join Bark on these hikes to beautiful and endangered areas of Mt. Hood National Forest. Experience the magic of the woods, learn about US Forest Service plans for the area, and find out what you can do to preserve this special place. Carpools leave The Daily Grind promptly at 9:30am. Please arrive by 9:15 so we can check you in, arrange rides and give a brief overview of the day's plans. Bring food, water, hat, rain gear, sturdy hiking boots, and be prepared to hike off trail. See www.bark-out.org, email info__at__bark
