Derrick Jensen Talk in Portland

Friday, October 27, 7:00pm
Disjecta
, 230 E. burnside
Speaker  Derrick Jensen
"Civilization is not and can never be sustainable."
This is just the first of fourteen premises in Jensens new book ENDGAME. For the last decade Jensen has written articles and books concerning the problems of civilization. In ENDGAME Jensen challenges the values and tactics of highly influencial pacifists, the sustainability(TM) movement and the painful games we play with those in power while trying to save what is left of our environment. Portland is nationally renowned as one of the leading cities in sustainability. ENDGAME makes us ask the hard questions: Are we really doing what needs to be done? Are we making a big enough impact? Are we sustainable AT ALL? Mythmedia invites you to ask yourself these questions and come discuss the premises of endgame with author Derrick Jensen Himself!
Mythmedia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Check us out at www.mythmedia.org
