National Drinking Water Week

Get involved in Drinking Water week (May 7-13). The Water Bureau is offering a Field Day on May 9. Contribute to the Water Bureau blog at www.portlandwaterbureau.org through the comment form or send an email to the webtender Consider the value of drinking water - to you, your family, and the community. Home faucets deliver drinking water at the end of the water distribution system. Before it gets there, the Water Bureau protects the Bull Run Watershed that provides it, disinfects and treats the water, maintains the aging infrastructure that brings it to your neighborhood, monitors the water quality at points along the way - and makes sure there is enough supply in your neighborhood to fight a major fire if needed. You can fill your 16-ounce glass 34 times for less than a penny with Portland's drinking water. The value of water? Think about it. Share your ideas with the Water Bureau blog to celebrate Drinking Water Week. Forest to faucet, Portland delivers the best drinking water in the world.
