Kentucky Fried Cruelty Campaign

Saturday, April 1st, 11:00am - 1:00pm
KFC at 707 N.E. Weidler, Portland, Oregon, 97232 (503) - 228 - 7244 (KFC)
Phone Contact: (503) 239 -6841
Sponsor: Liberation Collective - P.E.T.A.-(2)- I.D.A.
We will be Protesting, Demonstrating, and maybe even do an action or two at KFC. Arrive at 11A.M.(for a quick update on KFC Campaign, a quick Your rights training, some media 101, and a quick tactics/strategy training.) We will be holding signs, passing out leaflets, educating the public, and making a little noise. Other stuff could happen too, but you probably need to be there to see it.
Why KFC?
PETA/IDA/LC is asking KFC to eliminate the worst abuses that chickens suffer on the factory farms and in the slaughterhouses of its suppliers, including live scalding, life-long crippling, and painful debeaking. The more than 850 million chickens killed each year for KFC are tortured in ways that would result in felony cruelty-to-animals charges if cats or dogs were the victims, but KFC still refuses to make changes. As the leader in the chicken industry, KFC has a responsibility to ensure that the chickens raised for its buckets are protected from the worst cruelties.
