Ride a minibike and win prizes. or come out and watch as the racers zoom down through Washington Park in the pursuit of glory and distinction. Free to watch and feel free to volunteer at the mechanical station or the riders support food cart. 7 dollars to race covers the cost of your t-shirt, patch, spoke card, sack lunch, and liquid nourishment throughout the day. Any left over proceeds will be spent on the winner celebration at the end of the event!!!

Friends of Trees to Train Volunteer Neighborhood Planting Coordinators

Participants will learn how to organize tree plantings in their neighborhoods during the upcoming planting season, which is from November 2005 to April 2006. Neighborhood Coordinators encourage neighbors to participate in the planting, help them select and order the right tree for the right place, assist in filing permits to plant the trees, and make arrangements for hole digging prior to planting day.

Experience the magic of the woods, learn about US Forest Service plans for the area, and find out what you can do to preserve this special place.
