This film, produced by Calle y Media productions, shows the revolution of the popular movement in Venezuela from the 'Caracazo' riots of 1989 to the massive actions that brought revolutionary president Hugo Chávez back to power 48 hours after a 2002 U.S.-backed military coup.
Proceeds from the video screening will support the Oregon delegation traveling to The 16th World Festival of Students and Youth from August 7-15 in Caracas. The Festival is an opportunity for Oregonians to meet with their counterparts from around the world to discuss social movements that work for peace and solidarity, and against war and poverty.
