A World Beyond Capitalism, AWBC 2005, Is an annual international multiracial alliance-building peace conference. The conference is not until August 26th through August 28th, but we are coming together to volunteer for conference positions, submit conference proposals, and to offer assistance to the conference.

Things to bring:

• There is no need for you to bring anything at all. Just come and learn how you can volunteer for the conference. But if you really want to bring something...


• Poster making materials. This meeting is suitable for the entire family, children of all ages, so we want to have something to involve people of all ages. The bookstore has a childrens area with toys and crayons.
  Print out as many flyers found on our webpage as you can. We will need thousands of flyers, so if you have access to a printer, we can use black and white or color.


• Print out Grassroots Exhibition applications, which are also found on our webpage. Print out as many as you can; we'll need hundreds of applications, black and white or color. We're hoping to have one of the world's largest non-corporate, non-government, Grassroots Exhibitions which only permits activists, grassroots groups and non-corporate businesses to table, and offer their items and information to the worldwide conference attendants. No multinational corporate owned business or government groups are permitted to table or lead a panel during workshops or classes at the AWBC 2005.

• Print out Basic registration applications, which are found on our webpage. We hope to distribute these applications to people worldwide. You can print it out in black and white or color.


• Bring one or two laptop computers with extra disks. We're hoping that our multilingual volunteers can continue typing and translating our conference schedules and programs in various languages during this meeting. This isn't a meet-up of just talk, we're working to make this conference an incredible multiracial alliance building experience for everyone worldwide!


• Bands and musicians of every type of music (no matter how radical), artists of every medium, and poets: If you are interested in creating a piece of music, art, or poem which is specifically for the A World Beyond Capitalism conference, we would like to print it in our conference program or use it as a poster. You would keep the copyright to it. IMPORTANT: Please keep in mind that if you are a poet, artist, or musician that currently has a contract with a multinational corporation, please do not submit work. While we appreciate your desire to submit work, and we hope to see you at the conference, this is a grassroots art/music and poetry opportunity. Thank you.
