The League of Women Voters of Portland invites the public to a discussion of political party reform in Oregon.
Are political parties a roadblock to solving Oregon's problems? Do we need to reform our electoral process to allow more voices to be heard, or do we need to eliminate partisan elections altogether? Ti````m Nesbitt, President, Oregon AFL-CIO; Dan Cantor, Executive Director, New York state's Working Families Party; State Senator Charlie Ringo (D-Beaverton); and Kappy Eaton, Governance Coordinator LWV's State Action Committee, will discuss the role of parties in state policy making. Following the discussion, the panelists will answer audience questions. Suggested donation of $2.
