URGENT: Needs Assessment Needed for Mississippi coast

Reliable data from on the ground in lower Mississippi is needed by the Common Ground Collective to help coordinate emergency aid needs.
The Common Ground Collective, located in the Algiers community of New Orleans, is seeking accurate on-the-ground information from lower Mississippi, Alabama and other areas ravaged by Katrina and a negligent Federal relief effort.

How You Can Help
Medical Aid
Common Ground is currently in need of medics and doctors who can be on the ground in our free medical clinic in Algiers, New Orleans, Louisiana. If you can offer your time and expertise, please contact Michael Kozart, M.D. at (415) 702-5872 or Naomi Arche at (828) 230-1404 (or arche@riseup.net).
Supplies
Common Ground is currently delivering large quantities of both food and hygiene supplies to those in the Algiers area and beyond, including areas that remain unvisited by traditional support organizations. We are in need of basic supplies like toothpaste, shampoo, etc., as well as safety gear like rubber boots and mold/pollen-strength dust masks.
