What Did the 73rd Legislature Accomplish?
Forum at Acme Wednesday the 20th, 7pm
It has been more than a month, yet there are still questions surrounding Oregon's 73rd legislature. What exactly did the session accomplish? Where did it fail? Why did the legislature pass certain bills while grounding others? In its latest monthly forum, to be held on September 20th at 7:00 PM at ACME Bar, Bus Project Presents will try to provide a behind the scenes answer to these questions.
Bus Project Presents has formed a panel of Oregon legislators, lobbyists and all-around politicos to recap the highlights and low lights of the recent session. The panel includes Senator Ben Westlund, R- Tumalo, Representative Mary Nolan, D-Portland, and Damiana Merryweather, Co-Chair of the Human Services Coalition of Oregon. The panel will explore hot topics ranging from civil unions to the education crisis in what will be a lively discussion on the 2005 Oregon legislative session. Bus Project Presents invites anyone interested to come on down to ACME Bar (located at 1305 SE Main St.) free of charge and enjoy the combination of beer, food, music and politics.
Cost: Free. All Ages (until 9pm)
