You asked him in e-mail, and he doesn't have e-mail; do you try to call people who do not have phones to suggest that they get phones? (Does it work?)

Well, first, I can't: I was banned from Don's list. Various members have set up more open lists, but there are a few die-hard knuckleheads who insist on using Don's list.

Second, Walt does not talk to me; I spoke to Mary Alice Herbert more than Walt. I suppose I could have sent him an e-mail telling him to get an e-mail account, but I still fail to understand why you think that would work.

Third, you could have contacted him yourself if you had concerns. He had a FAX machine at the time (probably still does).

Fourth, your concerns were not related to the Campaign but to your personal dissatisfaction with Cde. Brown. That ain't my job; my job was to get the thing running, not to sit down and yak about how you wanted things phrased.

> You know Michael, We have met several times at several convention and had good conversations. Sometimes I wonder if you even know who I am.

Does anybody *really* know anybody? (Sorry, couldn't resist; of course I remember you.)

I disagree, although this message is polite. You are far from "always respectful" -- I think we all are. Yank that 'always' word, because neither you nor I got halos and wings.

> In the past you have questioned my mental health and my intellectual abilities and now you question my motives.

I have no question as to your motives.

I was mostly asking from concern. People told me you were not well, some mentioned drug addiction, and I am pretty sure there was a letter from you to the NC list on that. Those are just personal concerns; my apologies if concern for another person's health is viewed by you as unwelcome.

> If this is the best you can do, then you are not the same person I have met many times before.

Indeed? Who am I, then? Are you alleging I have transformed into an ultra-left monstrosity or that my e-mail account has been hacked?

I suspect that it is a matter that you were not paying close enough attention: behind a thin veneer of a polite gent, I have always been an ultra-left monstrosity. I can not stand for fascism, corruption, incompetence, lies, and Burnin' Urine concerts.

Actually, if pressed, I suppose I could tolerate maybe ONE Burnin' Urine concert, but no more!
