MELVIN LITTLE GOES TOO FAR!

Melvin Little recently proved once again why he must be expelled from the Party by broadcasting this polite exchange between two intellectuals -- essentially, AIRING THE PARTY'S DIRTY LAUNDRY FOR THE FUN OF IT! Expel Melvin! Don't let him get away with this!

Comrades,

I agree with everything George Greene has to say here, and I am glad that he had this to say to Pete Diamondstone.

Peace Be With You,
Melvin Little

Peter Diamondstone writes:
> Well ,thank you David for giving me this opportunity.to have a comradely, but contentious, I'm sure, exchange with you on the many subjects you touched on in this and your previous post to me
> The issue of reproductivee rights , abortion in particular, is for me THE watershedd issue ,

George Greene writes:
Well, this is problematic for 2 reasons. Reason 1 is that this is headlined "Doris Lake", but signed, at the end,

   .Comradely Peter <>stone.

This matters BECAUSE it matters a lot whether anybody claiming that "abortion is THE watershed issue" IS A MAN OR A WOMAN. If you are not a woman of childbearing age then this IS NOT YOUR watershed issue, unless you are in a close relationship with a woman whose life was (or is being) messed up by it.

Peter Diamondstone writes:
>>you have stated, "...just one of many issues...." Nor can you get my sympathy for bigotry

George Greene writes:
Again, you have to actually BE a woman to be calling "bigotry" on this, and EVEN then, you will STILL get shot down, because this (being pro-life, at least in the way that Walt Brown and Dennis Kucinich are) IS NOT bigotry, of ANY kind.

Peter Diamondstone writes:
>>Well these were not answers carelessly made. I was on the phone with him twice in lengthy conversation. He believes that: abortion should be legal ONLY when the life of the woman is endangered; abortion should NOT be permited in cases of rape or incest; it is appropiate for states to require parental notice and waiting periods; and late term abortions should be prohibited. His positions are clear and precise and he holds to them tenaciously.

George Greene writes:
The reason why Peter's whole take on this is completely UNcomradely is that Peter is too stupid to answer the following question:
WHY does Walt Brown hold these positions tenaciously?

Peter Diamondstone writes:
>> So most , if not all, of our disagreement on this subject relates to abortion's place in our heirarchies of values. For me, there is none higher.

George Greene writes:
Oh, SHUT THE FUCK UP, BITCH.
Abortion is not highest on ANYbody's list of values.
Given a choice between having your sister or your daughter be forcibly prevented from having an abortion, AND HAVING HER BE KILLED, you will pick the forced-brood-mare-hood" option EVERY time, AND SO will SHE! The right to LIFE is the ONLY value than which "there is none higher", on EVERYbody's list of values, INCLUDING PETER'S!

Peter's disagreement with Walt does NOT have a DAMN thing to do with "abortion's place in our hierarchies of values". It has to do with a MEDICAL disagreement over the question of whether a fetus IS OR ISN'T A PERSON and therefore both morally and constitutionally ENTITLED to EQUAL protection of the laws, INCLUDING LAWS AGAINST MURDERing it. THAT, NOT "abortion's place in our hierarchies of values", is what Peter disagrees with Walt about.
