The Fist and Rose Caucus is an Effort to Take Over!

SP Comrades:

Cde. Little's insidious call for a new Caucus in the Socialist Party USA is, on the surface, a call to reason and action -- but, beneath that calm surface there are deep, deep waters of treachery, larceny, and conspiracy percolating, the very kind of thing we are used to seeing from that man. What is the real goal of this proposed so-called caucus? Who are the members? What is its vision?

[Melvin's Call]

The Fist and Rose Caucus would do nothing less than DESTROY this Party and its traditions! Gone forevermore would be our treasured backbiting and internecine warfare! Banished would be our beloved sectarian barrier to the forces of barbarism and hegemony -- forces which run, rampant and unchecked, amid the Left! (Only our Purity has sustained us as a Party - nay, as a people - as we have distanced ourselves from everybody else.) Lost forever would be traditions of inaction, intransigence, inefficiency, ineptitude-- my God! What would be left of us if we shed such things?

He's a crafty one, he is -- but none of the Pure are fooled! I have called before and I call again for the Party to be purged of this foolishness! MELVIN DELINDO EST! Expel Melvin Little and our ersatz "comrades" who scurry under the cover of daylight! They band together, even now, this "caucus", conspiring to overthrow the leadership that has helped this Party to remain steadfastly and safely stuck in the mud. If we do not stand together now in solidarity and insist upon our legacy, we could lose the very sectarian spirit that has become synonymous with our Party name - don't let them take it away from us!

Down with the Fist and the Rose! Down with non-sectarian politics! Down with Melvin Little! EXPEL!!!
