I am an American, but I will be joining the NDP and the NDP Socialist Caucus

By Melvin Little

Dear Comrades,

My name is Melvin Little, and I am an American. As I look up to the North, I see hopes for the most successful democratic-socialist-party on the North American Continent, the New Democratic Party of Canada. If the NDP makes massive (or modest) gains on June 28th, I want to symbolically be a part of this. Therefore, I feel compelled to officially join the New Democratic Party of Canada, eventhough I was born and currently live here in North Carolina. My politics is that of the traditionalist left that exist in many o the social-democratic, labour, and socialist-parties inside the Socialist International. In addition to joining the NDP, I also would like to join the NDP Socialist Caucus. If Canada turns further left, the credit should naturally go to this party. The NDP needs to be an anti-capitalist party and an anti-capitalist movement. The NDP Socialist Caucus is one of the best hopes for a revitalized socialist-feminist NDP. And finally, one of the reasons I will be joining the NDP and the NDP Socialist Caucus is that I might be planning to move to Canada at some point. As a Canadian resident and/or citizen, I want to be fully aware and knowledgeable of the anti-capitalist movement and be active with my NDP Riding.

In Left Unity,

Michael C. Marino responded to the above news by eschewing: "Melvin Little is non-American!!! I run a fair and balanced web site to prove it!" (Upon being told that he was mis-using the word 'eschew', Michael C. Marino responded by blaming Melvin Little, although he was unable to describe how Melvin Little might be at fault.)
