MELVIN LITTLE CAN'T WIN
Melvin Little on the Mekons and Linda
Linda,
I never owned an album by the Mekons, but I heard a few songs by them that I like. One of the songs was called "Ghost of an American Astronaut" from 1990. It was a video that I saw several times on "120 Minutes." I have been trying to find the CD for quite some time now. Another song that comes to mind is called "where Were You" from 1978. That can be found on the "Hey Ho Let's Go: Punk and New Wave (1976-1979)" Box Set. I own it, and I highly recommend it to anyone trying to get familar with punk and new wave. I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Melvin Little

Poor guy can't catch a break - first someone tells him to stop discussing politics, and then someone else says it's ok!
So Melvin, tell me about the Mekons. The only thing I've really listened to is "I Love Mekons" - bought it, hated it, and promptly sold it on ebay (for more than what I paid for it - hooray!). Which albums of theirs do you recommend?
